9th Graders to Participate in Signs of Suicide Program on Sept. 16 & 17

This year your child’s school is participating in the SOS Signs of Suicide program. On Sept. 16 & 17, 9th graders watch a short, age-appropriate video and join a guided discussion where they learn to ACT — and that the trusted adult they turn to could be you.
A Note on Participation (Passive Consent)
SOS Signs of Suicide lessons are presented to all 6th and 9th grade students each year. The program is evidence-based and designed to help students recognize depression and suicide risk in themselves or a friend, and to seek help from a trusted adult.
No action is needed if you want your child to participate. If you do not want your child to take part, please contact your student's school before the lessons begin on Sept. 16.
