Participation in the special education program in the high schools of Aurora Public Schools is in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and the Colorado Department of Education. When students qualify for special education services, the vehicle for providing those services is the Individualized Education Plan. Instruction is based on individually assessed needs and defined in the IEP goals and objectives.
