Déjà Vu Step Team
Amber Phillips and Shinall Van Ross, former students at Aurora Central High School, founded the Deja Vu Step team in November 2002. Both young ladies felt the need to promote strength, creativity, and independence of black culture and community through stepping.
The Purpose of the club is here for the pure enjoyment and love of stepThe purpose of the club is to promote and extend out love of step. Stepping is a rhythmic movement of your hands and feet to make a unified beat. Not only does the Deja Vu Step team perform at local schools and community events, i.e., Youth Day, Million Family March, and step competitions, but it is also an active participant in the community.
